From the deepest part of my heart

This poem was originally written on 9th October 2011. back when I was still schooling at Barbro. I used to spend my nights staring at the skies, how the stars twinkled and how they stayed in constellations. Though I never knew specific one, I remember waking up early in the morning just to rush outside to see the three stars (commonly referred to as the Orion in astronomy). I remember sitting by the window in my class to stare at the beautiful birds that flew around; some plain white, some with bright colors like those of a rainbow and some with very calm and cool colors. I remember watching the trees symbolizing the seasons throughout the year by shedding leaves then letting them grow again, a process I witnessed recursively year by year. I remember the rains, how strong they were, the chilliness they brought, the drizzles, the erosional and depositional activities. And instead of white water channels we had brick-red water channels. It was a perfect sight of God’s creation and that is why on that particular day, guided by the Spirit to give God praise I wrote these words, to tell a little of the greatness of God.
So today on World Poetry day I’ve decided to share it with the world

From the deepest part of my heart,
I’ll sing praise to you, oh God

When I look up in the sky
I just wish I had wings to fly
To join the glorious universe
That sings praise to your face.

When I look at the mountains
I wonder how strong are their foundations
The beautiful sceneries of ice carps
Mountain ranges and panoramic highlands.

They all sing you praise
As you pass above them.
They bow down to you name
Your mighty and fame
Full of glory and richness
Without forgettting your loving kindness.

The flowing rivers
The still lakes, oceans and seas
All portray your creativity
And springs magnify your great abilities.

The birds rejoice in the morning sun
The trees swing and tremble
Just by the beginning of dawn
The nature so great with the magnificent horizon.

The joy in the nature
Created by my father
Makes me smile from the deepest part of my heart.

And from the deepest part of my heart,
I’ll sing praise to you, oh Lord
