Dear Lord

Dear Lord,

In the inevitability of war, turmoil, trials and despair,
Remind us of your love and the hope we have in you.
In the inevitability of fear, anxiety and failure,
Give us the courage to face each day with your Spirit.

Teach us of your grace and how it covers a multitude of our sin.
Show us the depth of your grace in our lives, the length to which you move for us.
And then, teach us how to walk in your grace as proper royals.
Teach us to see everything and everyone through your gracious and merciful eyes.

Dear Lord, in the darkest of our days, hold our hands and walk with us.
In our confusion and doubt remind us that you are our peace
And we can sleep in the middle of the storm.
In our lonely moments, cover us and help us to see you, as hard as it may seem to us.

You are God and there is no other. You sit upon your throne and reign in majesty.
You spoke into existence the visible and invisible world, and we all respond to your power.
You see through everything and hold the universe in place.
From the rise of the sun in the solar system, to the stars in Andromeda and Black Eye.

Your sovereignty is unquestionable.
You are Lord over all and you hold it all together.

You are our father. And we look up to you.
So in everything Lord, help us to see you.

Dear Lord.
