I dropped the umbrella
I dropped the umbrella that protected me from the rain
From the circus of love and life
I dropped the umbrella that kept me dry
And now my clothes are dripping wet
Not of water, but of the blood surging through my veins
The bleeding started the moment I let go
And dropped the umbrella
The umbrella that keep me dry
I dropped the umbrella.
I dropped the umbrella that protected me from the sun
The sun and its scorching rays
That feels like thorns in my territory
Piercing through my skin,
Hurting every inch of me.
My nerves are almost numb of the pain
The torture you have given me
The struggles I go through
Simply because I dropped the umbrella.
I dropped the umbrella,
So that I could hold you with my two hands.
I dropped the umbrella ,
Hoping that you could cover me.
I dropped the umbrella,
So that I could take you in.
But now I wish I held on to the umbrella.
Because all these words wouldn’t have been spoken.
But yet, I dropped the umbrella.
